Finding Your Sub-Zero Model and Serial Number
The full model and serial number help identify the correct appliance configuration. A photo of the rating label is usually more useful than a partial model name.
What to check first
- Look for the rating label in the location shown by the manufacturer for your series.
- Capture the complete model designation, including letters and suffixes.
- Check your appliance documents if the label is difficult to read.
What the observations mean
Label locations differ between over-and-under, side-by-side, Designer, PRO and wine-storage products. Do not pull a built-in appliance out simply to search for a number. The manufacturer’s serial-tag location guide provides diagrams for the different layouts.
Before you request service
Photograph only the appliance label and relevant appliance details; avoid including unrelated personal documents. If you cannot locate the label safely, describe the layout when requesting service and ask for help identifying it.
